Dr. Sulaiman Abawi

Program and Technical Director (Texas)

Dr. Abawi is an Emergency Room physician at Texas Health Frisco. He is the Co-Founder of the Halim Clinic in Toledo, Ohio, the first, free medical and dental clinic for Muslims.
He holds a degree in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska. Later, he obtained his M.D. from Des Moines University and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.
Dr. Abawi grew up on the Island of Guam. He spent most of his childhood farming, where he developed a deep love for nature and animals. Outside of the medical field, his skillset consists of welding, woodworking, and building irrigation systems.
His hobbies include volunteering, farming, archery, and horseback riding.
