Balkissou did not let her childhood as an orphan stop her from receiving an education. At age 40, she proudly received her GED and Associates Degree in Health Systems from Young Memorial Technical College in Louisiana. She has 15+ years of Secretary experience in the Postpartum Unit of the Women’s Center. Her passion for helping children, especially orphans, is what led her and her husband, Dr. Bani, to launch Rise Relief. Balkissou’s hobbies include mentoring, helping those in need, cooking, and gardening.
